Proteggeteli impavidi!

Europe timid stutters a complaint against the persecution of Christians

After nearly three weeks, finally a European text condemns the violations of religious freedom of Christians. The complaint suffers from "excessive" balance and spacing. The EU's inability to understand what is happening in North Africa and the Middle East depends on his ignoring its Christian roots. Without identity there is no ability to read and proposals. The teaching of Benedict XVI.

After three weeks of debate, the EU has managed to produce a text that explicitly mentioning Christians as victims of persecution and the object of violent attacks. An earlier text had been prepared in January, after the terrorist attack at a church in Baghdad and the killing in a church in Alexandria, but was rejected because of the lack of references to Christians, since the EU preferred to use generic term "religious minorities".

yesterday approved the new text explicitly mentions "Christians and their places of worship" victims of "acts of religious intolerance and discrimination," but hastens to add now among the victims of such acts pure "Muslim pilgrims and other religious communities. "

Fa specie confrontare il timido testo della EU with solid Benedict XVI's address to the diplomatic corps (01/10/2011 Pope: religious freedom, and marginalization attacked by terrorism). Defending religious freedom for all religious traditions, the Pope addressed to the governments to demand security repeal of unjust laws (such as the blasphemy); room for free education; guarantees for the warmth of the social contribution by the religious communities etc ...

Shyness and babbling on religious freedom are the European counterpart to the approximation all'inanità and Europe in the face of riots taking place in North Africa and the Middle East. In the face of epochal change that take place before our eyes - not with violent demands of justice, equality and democracy - the EU is showing remorse in calling for a "transition" and secretly crying all the fabulous economic contracts drawn up with dictators or fallen in the balance.

It is said that the world and Europe have been taken by surprise by the riots in Tunisia, Egypt, etc. .. We think that this blindness is due to the fact that in all these years, as the sole reason for the relationship with these countries, our Europe has had only its narrow economic interests and thus the "stability", not a statement of values, attention society, dialogue between cultures and religions.

Christianophobia: Europe breaks his silence

A first text had been blocked by Frattini January 31 because there were clear references to religious minorities, in particular to the Christian communities who are victims of recent massacres in Alexandria, Egypt (21 dead and 79 wounded) and Baghdad (58 killed and 75 injured 31 October). The draft was unaware of the other stresses come in the days before the European Parliament and the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly resolutions voted almost unanimously to ask the government not only to express condemnation, but to remember the victims of Christian communities, indicate the countries in which violence occurs, to take concrete measures such as addressing the issue of religious freedom in negotiations and agreements in the management of political and economic cooperation between the EU and other countries.

On this level the foreign ministers yesterday were limited to a general commitment to cooperate with other countries to promote religious tolerance as an essential part of human rights. The European Conference of Catholic Bishops (COMECE) commented on the statement of twenty-seven calling it "a step in the right direction." 'However - warns COMECE - security and the survival of Christian communities, especially in the Middle East, require concrete action. " Franco Serra

new frontier in fast-food take-away's polenta

Indifference

"I hate the indifferent"

I hate the cold. I believe that life should mean to be partisan. Who really lives can not be a citizen and partisan. The indifference is apathy, is parasitism, it is cowardice, not life. So I hate the cold.
Indifference is the dead weight of history. The indifference shown strength in history. Work passively, but it operates. E 'fate, which is what we can not rely on, is what upsets the programs, which brings down the best built planes, is the brute matter strangling intelligence. What happens, the evil that befalls everyone, is because the mass of men abdicating to his will, leaving only enact laws which will repeal the revolt, leaving the men who come to power only then will a mutiny to overthrow. Between absenteeism and indifference few hands, not supervised by any control, they weave the fabric of community life, and ignores the mass, because he cares, and then seems to be the fate to overwhelm everything and everyone, it seems that the story is nothing but an enormous natural phenomenon, an eruption, an earthquake whose victims are all those who wanted and who did not want, those who knew and who knew, who had been active and who is indifferent. Some whine piteously, others swearing obscenely, but none or very few people wonder: If I had done my duty if I tried to assert my will, would have happened what happened?
hate the indifferent even to this: Why bother me with their eternal whining innocent. I ask each of their account of how he played the role that life has placed and places every day of what he has done and especially what did not. And I feel I can be relentless, not having to waste my pity, not having to share them with my tears.
am partisan, I live, I feel in the consciousness of my hand already pulsing activity della città futura che la mia parte sta già costruendo.

A Small Speech For Company Anniversary

Africa, China and international cooperation

According to Prodi, the desirable co-operation requires, however, changes in African politics in the U.S. and European countries that, until now, acting on the continent so dispersed, still following the old logic.
The growing presence of China in Africa has put the continent at the center of international foreign policy, costing Europe and the United States two scenarios: "transform Africa into a battlefield, at the expense of Africans, or cooperate with China to allow the African renaissance. "

The analysis of Romano Prodi - delegate to UN peacekeeping operations in Africa - who was a guest of honor of meeting "between Europe, Africa and China where international cooperation today, sponsored by the NGO Doctors with Africa Cuamm, Saturday, Feb. 12 meeting held in Padova.

analyzing the words of Prodi, it seems desirable that the new partnership between Europe, USA and China for the "African renaissance", requires the prior conditions. One of these is the need for the "Western bloc", to design new policies for international cooperation, other than those which have hitherto characterized their involvement in the black continent.

Today, China is moving in Africa on a widespread and innovative. The Asian giant has, in fact, built relationships with fifty of the fifty states of the continent, noted the current professor at CEIBS Shang i. Moreover, China is the first country in the world to have established a formula of cooperation that brings together the export of goods, capital, technology and labor.

Faced with the latter scenario - has taken yet Prodi -, the European Union member countries are still, unfortunately, to act on the continent so dispersed, that is, without a coordination of their foreign policies. Europe, in short, still follows the old logic conditioned by colonial relationships that divide the continent into areas of influence: British, French or Portuguese.

Neither the United States are saved by what Prodi considered a "strategic error" within the "Western" to cooperation with Africa. In fact, despite the renewal of its leadership, the country still looks to Africa for Obama according to logic that meets the needs of military security and energy. The U.S. still focus attention on the countries situated on both the Gulf of Guinea area - which currently provides 15% of U.S. oil imports - both on the eastern shore of the continent, particularly in the Horn of Africa, where armed groups linked to growing al-Qaeda.

In this context, but also Africa must do its part by becoming an actor itself for its own development. For the professor, the priority number one is the "creation of an African market." A half this, which requires the overcoming of the current situation in which inter-African trade represents only 10% of the continent's trade with foreign countries.

This objective also requires the development of a new ruling class, capable - also claims the former Italian prime minister - to organize the continent economically, placing it then in a position to deal, effectively and efficiently, with other actors of international cooperation in an increasingly multipolar world.

Recipes Caka Bile Food

Jacques Lacan

Yesterday evening I saw on DVD: The Life of David Gale (2003). Great movie. It is about capital punishment, Particularly Nevertheless I was fascinated by a short speech made lecturer by Kevin Spacie about Lacan...and I went to collect some thoughts of this French professor from Wikipedia:

"Lacan distinguishes desire from need and demand. Need is a biological instinct that is articulated in demand, yet demand has a double function: on the one hand, it articulates need, and on the other, acts as a demand for love. Even after the need articulated in demand is satisfied, the demand for love remains unsatisfied. This remainder is desire.[42] For Lacan, "desire is neither the appetite for satisfaction nor the demand for love, but the difference that results from the subtraction of the first from the second." Lacan adds that "desire begins to take shape in the margin in which demand becomes separated from need." Hence desire can never be satisfied, or as Slavoj Žižek puts it, "desire's raison d'être is not to realize its goal, to find full satisfaction, but to reproduce itself as desire."

"There are things happening about which we have very little control, which...which is probably good!"
